Theresa L. Means is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in loss prevention and shortage control across multiple high-profile retailers. Currently serving as the Director of Shortage Operations at Barnes & Noble, Inc. since October 2017, Theresa previously held significant roles at Hudson’s Bay Company/Saks Fifth Avenue, where as Senior Director of Omni Channel Inventory & Shortage Control, Theresa facilitated corporate restructuring following the acquisition of Saks in 2013. Prior to that, Theresa was Senior Director of Shortage Control at Saks Fifth Avenue from 2005 to 2014, and Director of Shortage Control from 1999 to 2005, where key initiatives included implementing corporate-wide strategies that resulted in substantial cost savings. Theresa's career began at Saks Fifth Avenue/Saks Off 5th in various positions from 1981 to 1999, showcasing rapid advancement through roles focused on loss prevention and training development.
