Michael Ellis

Michael Ellis is a Senior Environmental Engineer at Barr Engineering, a position held since June 2011, where the focus has been on complex remediation projects, particularly the remediation of impacted river sediments and subsequent river restoration efforts. Prior to this, Michael served as a Research Assistant to Dr. Hashsham and Dr. Khire at Michigan State University, engaging in projects related to microorganism detection and the electrochemical migration of organic contaminants. Michael began the professional journey as a Summer Intern at Hubbell, Roth & Clark, ensuring contractor compliance with engineering specifications. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an Environmental Concentration, both earned at Michigan State University.
