Alexandros Lioulemes has a diverse work experience in robotics, computer vision, and rehabilitation research. Alexandros worked at Barrett Technology as a Senior Robotics and Computer Vision Engineer, focusing on developing methods for safe human-robot interaction in rehabilitation. Alexandros also worked as a Robotics Software Engineer at Barrett Technology, where they incorporated new sensing technologies into a medical rehabilitation robotic arm. Alexandros then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Alexandros has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017.

In terms of research experience, Alexandros was a Research Fellow in Human-Robot Interaction at the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" from 2013 to 2014. Alexandros also completed a workshop on Cognitive Systems and Interactive Robotics at the same institution in July 2013.

Over the years, Alexandros has also acquired several additional certifications. In September 2016, they obtained Human Subjects Protection Training (HSP) from The University of Texas at Arlington. Alexandros completed the Online Pedagogy workshop at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in October 2020. Alexandros also underwent At-Risk Mental Health for Faculty & Staff training by Kognito in September 2022 and obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Training Course from Edureka in October 2021. Additionally, they completed the Biomedical Research Investigators and Key Personnel certification with the CITI Program in November 2021.
