Carole Attoungbre

Carole ATTOUNGBRE is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and sustainability across various organizations. Currently serving as Head of Sustainability Africa at Barry Callebaut Group since January 2024, Carole previously held pivotal roles at IDH from June 2022 to December 2023, including Investment Committee Co-Chair and Country Director for Côte d’Ivoire. Prior to this, Carole was Country Director, AfDB Lead, and Head of Trade at the Department for International Trade (DIT) from June 2021 to May 2022 and served as Country Director at Eneza Education Côte d'Ivoire between September 2017 and August 2019. Academic qualifications include an MSc in International Strategy and Diplomacy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Master of Science in Management from emlyon business school, an academic exchange at XLRI Jamshedpur focusing on Business Management, Strategy, and Marketing, and studies at Ecole Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion d'El Jadida.
