Gentry Ridgeway

Gentry Ridgeway, MSN, RN, CEN, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Nursing and Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructor at Barton College since January 2023, focusing on nursing skills and therapeutic communication. Gentry has extensive clinical experience at WakeMed since July 2017, progressing through several clinical nurse roles while providing emergency room care. Prior experience includes positions as a Medical Information Specialist at PPD and as an Emergency Room Staff Nurse at Self Regional Healthcare. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Science in Nursing Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Doctor of Nursing Practice specializing in Family and Emergency Practice from the University of South Alabama. Earlier roles span technical support and laboratory positions in various organizations, demonstrating a background in both healthcare and technical services.
