Jo Taylor

Jo Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jo is currently working as the Senior Vice President for R&D at BASE life science since May 2021. Prior to this, they were an Equity Partner and Consulting Account Leader at EY from July 2018 to April 2021. Jo also held the position of Senior Manager EMEIA Advisory - Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences at EY from June 2014 to June 2018.

Before joining EY, Jo worked as a Management Consultant in the Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences division at IBM Switzerland Global Business Services from June 2010 to May 2014. Jo also served as a Consultant in the same field at IBM UK Global Business Services from February 2006 to May 2010.

Jo has been actively involved in various organizations. Jo was a Member and volunteer at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association since 2013. Jo served as a Board Trustee at FH Europe - The European FH Patient Network from June 2020 to April 2023.

Jo started their career as a Global Service Fee Analyst at Shell International Exploration and Production in 2003. Jo also pursued a PhD at The University of Edinburgh and held the position of PhD Candidate from 2013 to 2020, where they were involved in teaching Global Health and the Business of eHealth.

Jo Taylor has a strong educational background with a focus on science, technology, and management. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Global eHealth from The University of Edinburgh, from 2013 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed an MSc in Management from the University of Bath between 2004 and 2005. Jo also holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics from Durham University, where they studied from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Jo Taylor has obtained several certifications. They are certified in DCT Foundation from Medable, Inc, which they received in July 2022. They also hold the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., obtained in March 2021. Furthermore, Jo completed the EY Transformative Leadership Series in September 2020, as well as the EY Transformative Leadership Series (2021) in the same month and year.
