BasiGo is an early stage E-Mobility start-up working to create the future of clean, electric, and digitally-powered public transport in sub-Saharan Africa. BasiGo provides bus operators with a cost effective electric alternative to existing diesel buses. BasiGo is looking for experienced professionals who are excited to help us realize our vision of clean, electric public transit in Africa. BasiGo Rwanda is looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader to join our Team as the Head of Business Development - an ambitious individual who can partner with multiple departments to drive measurable results that will push our business forward. Reporting to the Country Lead, the Head of Business Development will be responsible for developing the critical business relationships for BasiGo Rwanda to meet targets for growth and impact. This includes implementing an effective sales approach, and developing BasiGo’s relationships with third parties including Bus Operators (Customers), strategic partners, financiers and investors, and government.

Responsibilities:
Selling: The main responsibility of the Head of Business Development will be generating new sales leads of the BasiGo products and services, negotiating pricing and closing sales.
The Head of Business Development will be a key member of the BasiGo Rwanda leadership team supporting strategy, priorities and decision-making.
Develop a business development strategy to align with the corporate strategy and ensure customer satisfaction, while focusing on building the BasiGo brand in Rwanda
Manage and Maintain positive professional relationships with Clients to ensure an excellent customer experience for any bus operator using BasiGo buses and technologies in Rwanda
Represent BasiGo to stakeholders, partners and regulators, including but not limited to Bus Operators, City of Kigali, RURA, MININFRA, ATPR
Explain the BasiGo Pay-As-You-Drive model and benefits to government stakeholders such that their support is earned in our operations and business model
Develop strategic business relationships that can catalyze BasiGo Rwanda towards meeting the stated busienss objectives.
Represent BasiGo's products, services, and business model externally to clients, government, media, and potential strategic partners.
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients, interact with clients and respond to inquiries about BasiGo’s products and services
Manage the bus reservations and subscription pipeline to ensure corporate goals are being met
Review PAYD lease contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines in the Rwanda context
Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support
Support the collection and provision of data, information, and insight into the bus sector (bus importation, licensing, servicing, stakeholder interactions & relationships, etc.) to inform BasiGo product, technology, strategy & operations
Support engineering in the local licensing and certification process of BasiGo buses in Rwanda with RURA and Control Technique
