Michael Zanca has a diverse range of work experience in operations and management roles. Michael worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Sports Management Department at St Johns University from 2010 onwards. In 2013, they became the Director of Building Operations at Brooklyn Academy of Music, where they oversaw maintenance, security, and construction projects. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Interim Facilities Director at The Lyric Theatre. In 2017 and 2018, they coordinated transportation systems for the NFL Superbowl as part of the Sponsorship Department at SP+ Gameday. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as the General Manager of Camping Operations at Red Frog Events. In 2017, they became the Stadium Operations Director at Washington Kastles (World Team Tennis). Michael then took on the role of Director of Facility Operations at New York Empire Tennis in 2020. Currently, they are the Regional Head of Operations at BASIS Independent Schools, overseeing all aspects of operations for two school campuses.
Michael Zanca completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology at UCLA from 1998 to 2002. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Finance and Development in Sports Business from New York University between 2004 and 2005. In 2013, they attended the IAVM - Venue Management School, where they studied Venue and Facility Management for a year.
