Carol M. Taylor is a trustee at Bastyr University. Carol was previously with Construct4Innovation LLC and Kaiser Permanente Washington. Carol has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
Carol started their career in 1992 as a project manager with Group Health Cooperative. Carol then moved to Virginia Mason Medical Center in 1996, where they served as the director of operations for the ambulatory surgery center. In 2001, they joined Northwest Permanente as the executive director of clinical operations and market integration.
In 2016, Carol moved to Kaiser Permanente Washington, where they served as the executive director of clinical operations and market integration for the South Sound Service Area. In this role, they led the integration activities for this market because of the Kaiser Permanente acquisition and our service delivery strategies. Carol also assessed and developed business strategy for engagement within the community to support visibility and organizational leadership role to enhance the communities we served.
In 2018, Carol returned to Bastyr University, where they currently serve as a trustee.
Carol M. Taylor has a type MN from the University of Washington in Nursing and Health Care Administration. Carol also has a BSN from the University of New Hampshire in Nursing. Carol has completed the Women Board Directors Development Program at the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. Carol is a certified coach from the Global Team Coaching Institute (GTCI) and is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC).
