Alfred Luitjens

Director Cell Technology at Batavia Biosciences

Alfred Luitjens has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the biosciences industry. Alfred began their career in 1982 at Solvay as a Vaccine Developer before taking on roles as a Manager in the Biological Production Department and later as a Process Engineer. Alfred then moved on to DSM Biologics as a Process Engineer. Subsequently, they worked at Crucell in various roles, including as a Scientist, Senior Scientist, and CMC Leader in New Technology. In 2014, they joined GSK as a Senior Manager focusing on Process Architecture Improvement before becoming the Director of the Cell Technology department at Batavia Biosciences in 2015.

Alfred Luitjens studied Immunology at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1982 to 1986.
