Leah Kasparek

Leah Kasparek has extensive work experience in human resources and administration. Leah is currently working at Battalion Oil Corporation as the Senior Vice President, responsible for human capital management, corporate governance, compensation, corporate communications, information technology, facilities, and risk management. Leah reports directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors. Before joining Battalion Oil Corporation, they worked at Halcon Resources Corporation as the Senior Vice President for Human Resources, Administration, and Corporate Secretary from 2012 to 2019. Prior to that, they were at Southwestern Energy as the Director of Human Resources and Change Lead for IT Oracle Implementation. Leah also worked at CenterPoint Energy as the Vice President of Human Resources for Regulated Operations, where they led the HR function for regulated businesses and implemented downsizing initiatives. Earlier in their career, Leah worked at Anheuser-Busch, where they held various roles including Vice President of Human Resources for the Anheuser Busch Packaging Group and Senior Manager of HR at the Los Angeles Brewery. Overall, Leah Kasparek has a strong background in HR leadership and has experience in managing large-scale projects, implementing change initiatives, and supporting business objectives.

Leah Kasparek has a diverse education history. Leah first attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Following this, they pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from the University of Houston Law Center and completed the program from 1993 to 1996.

Leah further enhanced their education in various fields. In 2003, they participated in the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership. Leah then completed the Utility Executive Course at the University of Idaho in 2004.

In 2020 and 2021, Leah engaged in the Women on Boards Institute, where they pursued the GHWCC/Preng & Associates Board of Director Readiness program.

Additionally, Leah obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in October 2010.
