Secure Operations Facility Lead at Idaho National Laboratory

Andy Martorana has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andy started their career at UPS in 1993 as a Loader and then worked at Morton Salt as an Underground Miner from 1994 to 2009. Following that, they served as an Industrial Electrician at Morton Salt from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, Andy briefly worked as a TE&Y at Union Pacific Railroad before joining Invenergy LLC in 2016 as a Technician, where they performed preventive maintenance on GE wind turbines and handled various tasks like repairs, substation maintenance, and parts inventory. Since 2017, Andy has been employed at Idaho National Laboratory, initially as an Electrician until 2018, and later transitioning to the roles of Secure Operations Specialist and Secure Operations Facility Lead.

Andy Martorana obtained a Bachelor's degree in Workplace Training and Leadership from Idaho State University from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Madison High School from 1990 to 1993. Andy is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University from 2022 to 2023. In addition, they have a certification in TEMPEST from the United States Air Force.
