Elaine Kappel

Elaine Kappel has held a variety of roles in their professional career. Elaine is currently the Lab Manager at Bauhaus Brew Labs and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Center for Drug Design - University of Minnesota. In 2021, they began working as a Temporary Project Associate at NXTThing RPO. In 2019, they were an Exchange Student at Technical University Munich. From 2018 to 2021, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota's Haynes Lab, where they synthesized fluorescent carbon dots, analyzed the quantum yield and UV of nanoparticles, and worked on expanding applications of Ferrozine Assay. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Program Assistant at the University of Minnesota's Climbing Wall, where they managed the safety of patrons while maintaining a fun atmosphere, communicated effectively with coworkers and climbers, and emphasized inclusion and diversity in the sport. Additionally, they were a Chemistry Undergraduate and Climbing Wall Attendant at the University of Minnesota.

Elaine Kappel attended the University of Minnesota from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Elaine also spent a year of their studies at the Technical University of Munich from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's in Chemistry.
