Bavarian International School
Shary Marshall serves as the Deputy Head of School at BIS where she is responsible for teaching and learning including Educational Technology across the school’s academic divisions. Prior to joining the BIS community in August 2019, Shary served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles across the globe in places such as Taiwan, China, Bulgaria, Czechia, Israel, and the United States.
Originally from Texas, Shary was curious about the world from a young age, with an early interest in maps, stamp collecting, and writing to penpals around the world.
An avid learner, Shary has a bachelor’s degree in applied learning and development from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Vermont. She is a graduate of the COETAIL program (Certificate of Educational Technology and Information Literacy) has recently enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Kentucky.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, travel, reading, trying out new recipes and spending time in nature.
