Karsten Wagner-Gillen

Karsten Wagner-Gillen has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Karsten is currently working as the VP Commercial Germany & Switzerland at Bavarian Nordic since March 2020. Prior to that, they were the Vice President, General Manager Germany and Switzerland at ViiV Healthcare from April 2017 to December 2019. Karsten also held various roles at GSK, including Head of Sales France, Marketing Director Vaccines, Sales Director, Director Marketing Osteoporosis & Alliance Management, Group Product Leader, and Senior Product Manager Respiratory. Karsten has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and leadership, with a focus on respiratory and vaccine products.

Karsten Wagner-Gillen began their education in 1992 at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Organic Chemistry. Karsten then moved on to The University of Göttingen from 1994 to 1998, earning a Graduate Chemist degree with a focus on Organic Chemistry. Additionally, in 1995 and 1996, Karsten spent a year as a Research Student at the University of Oulu, further specializing in Organic Chemistry.
