Ben Wei Peng Lew

Ben Wei Peng Lew is a Postdoctoral Researcher at NASA Ames Research Center, specializing in data analysis of near and mid-infrared data from the James Webb Space Telescope since September 2021. Concurrently, Lew serves as a Research Scientist at the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute, focusing on ultracool brown dwarfs and protostars within Guaranteed Time Observations (GTO) Programs. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant/Teaching Associate at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, where Lew studied the cloud structure of ultracool brown dwarfs through high-precision time-series spectroscopy. Educationally, Lew holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Planetary Astronomy and Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from National Tsing Hua University.
