Leonard Oberholzer

Leonard Oberholzer is an experienced agricultural professional with a strong background in agronomy and market development. Currently serving as the Corn Go-To-Market Lead for Africa at Bayer since August 2018, Leonard has also held the position of South Africa Market Development Lead. Prior to Bayer, Leonard worked at Monsanto Company for over 14 years, where roles included SA Technology Development & Agronomy Lead, Technology Development Representative Team Lead, and Technology Development Representative. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Agronomist at VKB Group, Field Manager at Monsanto Company, and Horticulturist at McCain Industries Inc. Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and a Master of Science in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of the Free State, as well as a Management Development Programme in Business Administration and Management from the University of Pretoria.
