Marla Sammer M.D.

Marla Sammer MD, MHA, FAAP is a highly experienced medical professional serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine since July 2017, where Marla is the primary diagnostic radiologist at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) The Woodlands. Additionally, Marla holds the position of Chair of the Pediatric AI Working Group within the Informatics Commission at the American College of Radiology, focusing on ensuring the safe implementation of artificial intelligence in pediatric medical imaging. As Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Radiology at Texas Children's Hospital since July 2021, Marla leads strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing clinical services and innovative partnerships. Previously, Marla served as Division Chief of Pediatric Radiology at Tennessee Interventional and Imaging Associates and EmCare Radiology, overseeing pediatric imaging at a major public healthcare system. Marla's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine, followed by extensive training in diagnostic and pediatric radiology.
