Nicolette Venter has a comprehensive work experience in the field of internal audit. Nicolette Venter currently holds the position of Group Head: Internal Audit at Bayport Financial Services, starting in 2022. Previously, they worked as an Internal Audit Manager at Discovery Limited from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Internal Audit Manager (quality assurance and systems) at the Technology Innovation Agency from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they were responsible for establishing the internal audit department for Universal Healthcare Services (Pty) Ltd, where they reported to various audit committees of medical schemes from 2015 to 2017. Nicolette also gained experience as a Senior Internal Auditor at Medihelp from 2011 to 2015 and as an Internal Auditor at Sasfin Bank Ltd from 2008 to 2011.

Nicolette Venter has a diverse education history in the field of audit and accounting. In 2002, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. Nicolette Venter furthered their studies at the same institution in 2006, completing their Bcom Honours in Internal Audit.

In 2007, Nicolette pursued professional certification and received the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation from the Institute of Internal Auditors. Nicolette Venter then attended the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2009 and became a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA).

In order to enhance their expertise, Nicolette pursued a certification in information systems and was awarded the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation from ISACA in 2015.

Staying updated in the field, Nicolette obtained a Certificate in Risk Management Assurance from IIA-The Institute of Internal Auditors in 2020.
