Bazaarvoice is looking for an experienced sales professional to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic retail clients in the UK.

The Account Director is a hybrid role of delivering strategic, commercially oriented business direction to our clients, as well as managing sales processes to upsell additional solutions and sell into new entities within those retail accounts.

Success will be measured on the growth of the retail territory, as well as the success of initiatives connecting our brands with those retailers, which is an anchor strategy of the company.

The role is key to strengthen the unique selling proposition that is the Bazaarvoice Network in the region. Therefore, we are seeking an individual who is passionate about solving clients’ business problems and exceeding retention targets, at the same time as possessing a sales mentality to find opportunities for growth and new revenue within those existing relationships.

 5+ years of account management or customer success in the ecommerce, digital or SaaS Industries required.

Primary Duties of the Role:

  • Run a Strategic territory, including territory and account management to identify and build opportunities to grow your business by applying a strategic, detail-oriented approach.
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline within existing accounts on a continuous basis.
  • Demonstrate and sell high-ROI software solutions to C level stakeholders, navigating complex sales cycles, building consensus across multiple business units and successfully driving sales processes to close
  • Manage all strategic and commercial aspects of the relationship, to make the client successful with all Bazaarvoice products and service and to nurture and grow the Bazaarvoice relationship
  • Confidently lead a sales cycle and collaborate internally with various teams to close business (pre-sales, marketing, product specialists etc.).
  • Ability to manage and grow the territory with accurate and realistic forecasting.
  • Ability to navigate and build champions across complex client organisations, tailoring strategy recommendations based on identified business needs

Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:

  • 5+ years of account management or customer success in the ecommerce, digital or SaaS Industries
  • Follows a proven sales methodology. We use BANT which we’ll give you full training on, but we expect knowledge and experience of a recognised sales methodology.
  • Proven track-record of overachieving quota, and clear demonstrable experience of building champions in accounts to draft mutual close plans with the client.
  • Strong work ethic: self-motivated with an ability to learn quickly and hold yourself accountable to hitting quota
  • Clear and concise communication skills, as well as effectively listen with both clients and internal business partners
  • Fluent written and oral in English

Experience nice to have:

  • Experience using SalesForce, Powerpoint &/or Excel
  • Experience in the Retail ecosystem
