GRC Analyst at Bazaarvoice

Christopher Hidalgo has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christopher started their career as a Student Assistant at Texas Tech University Libraries in 2009 and held various positions within the university, including in the Serials Maintenance Department and the Government Documents Department. In 2015, they became a Unit Coordinator at the Texas Tech University Architecture Library and held this role until 2019. Following this, Christopher joined Lubbock County as a LAN Support Specialist and later became a Data Center Application Specialist. In 2020, they joined CoNetrix as a Support Specialist, where they assisted with vulnerability scans, executed audits of cybersecurity controls, and coordinated audit logistics. Currently, Christopher works for Bazaarvoice, starting as an Associate GRC Analyst in 2022 and then transitioning to the role of GRC Analyst in 2023.

Christopher Hidalgo has a Master of Science degree in Information Science/Studies from the University of North Texas. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Texas Tech University. In addition to their formal education, Christopher has also obtained several certifications including CompTIA Security+ Certification from CompTIA in June 2022, Foundations of Operationalizing MITRE ATT&CK and Foundations of Purple Teaming from AttackIQ in December 2021, Learning Security Frameworks from LinkedIn in November 2021, CSX Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate (CSXF) from ISACA in September 2020, and ITIL Foundation Level from AXELOS Global Best Practice in September 2019.
