Decio Lopes da Silva

Decio Lopes da Silva has extensive work experience in various roles in the media industry. Decio started their career as a journalist, presenter, and sports commentator for SPORTV, a prominent sports TV channel in Brazil. During this time, they also worked as the Editor-in-Chief for Rede Globo, where they directed and managed the production of major sports shows with millions of viewers.

In 2002, Decio founded their own production company, Maria TV Films, and served as the Founder and Executive Producer. Decio successfully produced and edited multiple TV shows that were broadcasted in Latin America and received recognition such as the Best Brazilian Travel Show award. Decio also worked on social media, branded content, and corporate projects.

Decio's expertise in content creation led him to work with the Brazilian Soccer Confederation, where they served as a Content Creator. Decio led the video team in producing content for the Confederation's website and digital initiatives, including major international events like FIFA World Cups and FIFA Confederations Cups.

In 2014, Decio joined Orlando City SC as the Vice President of Content. Decio implemented and managed all digital properties, broadcast initiatives, and stadium video content for the soccer club. Decio also directed the creation and production of branded content campaigns, earning accolades such as the MLS Social Media Activation of the Year award.

Currently, Decio is working as a Content Analyst at BazaarVoice, a position they started in 2021. Overall, their experience showcases their expertise in various aspects of media production, including directing, producing, editing, and filming, as well as their ability to lead teams and deliver successful projects in the media industry.

Decio Lopes da Silva completed their undergraduate education at UERJ from 1986 to 1990, where they studied Communication Social with a focus on Journalism. Decio later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, specializing in Administration and Business with a particular focus on the television market, which they completed from 2000 to 2001.
