José Alvarado

José Alvarado, P. Eng., GICSP, serves as the National Director of ICS Cybersecurity within the Digital Expertise Team at BBA Consultants, a role held since 2012 that involves managing resources and implementing strategies to achieve operational efficiency in ICS cybersecurity. Previously, José held positions as Department Manager and Automation and Telecommunications Lead at BBA Consultants, focusing on project deliverables and quality assurance. José's earlier experience includes working as an Engineer for BBA from 2007 to 2012, where contributions were made to the Automatic Generator Control system for Brookfield Renewable Power, and as a Project Engineer at Hytek Ingenieria from 1997 to 2002, where the design and commissioning of high voltage systems for PDVSA were undertaken. José holds a Certificate in Cybersecurity Strategy from Georgetown University, a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Management from HEC Montréal, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Yacambú.
