Charbel Szymanski

Charbel Szymanski has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Charbel currently works as a Tech Lead/Senior Back-end Developer at BBTV, where they develop REST APIs and microservices for digital media management. Charbel integrates AI modules into the APIs using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.

Prior to BBTV, Charbel worked as a Senior Back-end Developer at Olist, where they developed REST APIs and microservices for e-commerce. Charbel utilized Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS, Git, CI/CD, Redis, Jira, and Grafana.

Charbel also served as a Senior Software Engineer at GLOBAL DRONES, where they worked on a web application for aerial inspections using unmanned aircraft systems. Charbel used Python, React, and XHTML for the development.

Charbel is the Co-Founder/Tech Lead/Full Stack Developer/Automation Engineer at Evoluma. In this role, they coordinated a software development team, conducted meetings with clients, and developed web and desktop systems for industrial automation and vehicle tracking. Charbel also developed SCADA systems and worked on automation and control engineering.

Additionally, Charbel worked as a Researcher/Full Stack Developer at INERGE - Instituto de Estudos e Gestão Energética. Charbel focused on software projects for power line inspections based on Unmanned Aircraft Systems, using UML modeling and UI prototyping.

Charbel has also worked as a Professor at UNISUL, teaching subjects such as Compilers, Algorithms, and Digital Games Development. Charbel has experience as a Student Researcher at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina and RWTH Aachen University.

Early in their career, Charbel served as a Lead Programmer at Nuntec Gestão de Abastecimento de Frotas and held multiple roles at UNISUL, including Professor and Software Developer.

Throughout their career, Charbel has honed their skills in various technologies, including Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS, React, XHTML, Git, CI/CD, Redis, Jira, Grafana, Java, Oracle, and more.

Charbel Szymanski holds a Master's degree in Automation and Systems Engineering with a specialization in Computer Vision from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, which they obtained between 2011 and 2014. In 2013, they also conducted research as a master's student at RWTH Aachen University in the field of Computer Vision. Prior to that, Charbel earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a focus on Formal Languages and Automata from Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina, completing their studies between 2001 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Python Programmer (PCEP-30-02) from OpenEDG Python Institute in 2022 and in Learning AWS CloudFormation from LinkedIn in 2021.
