Monica Nureña has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Monica started their career as an Analyst in Market Research at Empresa Editora El Comercio in 2000. Monica then moved to AFP Horizonte, where they worked as a Senior Analyst in both Development and Control of Management roles from 2001 to 2006.

In 2006, Monica joined BBVA en Perú, where they held several positions including Head of Development Commercial, Head of Planning, Analysis and Management Control, and Head of Revenue Management and Business Intelligence. Monica was responsible for various tasks such as financial planning, budget management, profitability, pricing, and creating a revenue management office.
