Gonzalo Escribano Tamayo

Gonzalo Escribano Tamayo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy and strategic initiatives across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Public Policy at BBVA in Mexico, Gonzalo has been instrumental in developing strategies for Open Banking and lobbying on regulatory priorities. Previous roles include leading public policy for Stripe and FREENOW in Latin America, where Gonzalo focused on improving payment regulations and advocating for mobility reforms. Additionally, Gonzalo has held significant positions at Speyside and the British Embassy in Mexico, contributing to government affairs and bilateral relations. An educator, Gonzalo has lectured at Universidad Iberoamericana and holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics and a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Bath.
