Carmela Gómez Castelao

Carmela Gómez Castelao is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in banking and digital business. Currently serving as the Head of Global Open Banking Program at BBVA since February 2004, Carmela has held multiple leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer for New Digital Business, and Head of Global Treasury Solutions among others. Prior to BBVA, Carmela worked at Uno-e from July 1999 to February 2004 as a Product Manager, where significant contributions were made in launching an innovative online bank offering investment options to retail customers. Education includes a Master in Finance from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a degree from Universidad CEU San Pablo.
