Marco Carlone

Marco Carlone is an accomplished medical physicist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the field of medical physics and technology. Currently serving as the Founder of Linax Technologies Ltd since October 2019, Marco developed SIMAC, an educational platform for linear accelerators. Marco holds the position of Senior Medical Physicist at BC Cancer since November 2016 and previously worked as a Medical Physicist at University Health Network and Alberta Health Services, where responsibilities included clinical practice and academic roles at prestigious institutions. An early career included roles as Medical Physics Resident at The Ottawa Hospital and Medical Physicist at CISSS de l'Outaouais, along with engineering experience as an Accelerator Systems Engineer at Mevex. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Medical Physics from Queen's University, a PhD from Carleton University, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University.
