Thisaruni Bandara

Thisaruni Bandara has extensive work experience in data engineering and data science. They started their career in 2016 as a member of the Society of Computer Science at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In 2019, they joined the Leo Club of University of Sri Jayewardenepura as a member before beginning their professional career. In 2020, Thisaruni worked as a Trainee in Data Science at myDigitalOffice, where they focused on working with a client-based Data Analytics Tool for the Hospitality Industry, performing data visualization and pattern recognition using Kibana, and performing quality control on the overall dashboard data.

In 2021, Thisaruni joined Wiley Global Technology (Private) Limited as an Intern in Data Analytics Engineering, where they worked on creating dashboards using PowerBI, testing dashboard visuals, and checking data validations with Snowflake. They then moved on to the role of Associate Software Engineer in Data Engineering, where they continued their work until 2023.

Most recently, Thisaruni joined BCS Technology International Pty Ltd in 2023 as a Data Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Thisaruni Bandara's education history begins with their attendance at Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, although specific dates and degrees earned are not provided for this educational institution. In 2015 and 2016, they pursued a Diploma in Information and Communication Technology at ESOFT Metro Campus.

Moving forward, Thisaruni enrolled at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Physical Sciences from 2017 to 2020. In October 2020, Thisaruni completed the "PCAP - Programming Essentials in Python" certification offered by Cisco Networking Academy. Their most recent certification, "Hands On Essentials - Data Warehouse," was obtained from Snowflakes Software Pvt. Ltd in August 2021. Finally, in March 2022, they received the "Certified SAFe 5 Agilist" certification from Houston Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
