Keshia Theobald-van Gent

Keshia Theobald-van Gent has a diverse work experience. Keshia is currently working as the Director of Portfolio Success at BDev Ventures, the investment arm of BairesDev. Keshia joined the company in November 2022. In addition to this role, they are also a member of Global Women in VC since November 2022.

Their previous experience includes working as a Guest Speaker for Various Speaking Engagements since January 2019. Keshia also served as a ProspectSV Executive Advisory Board Member at Prospect Silicon Valley from February 2022 to April 2023.

Before that, they founded and served as a board member of Dialog to Learn since June 2017, where they connected students with professionals to enhance their writing, reading, and comprehension skills.

Keshia has also worked at German Accelerator in various roles. Keshia was a Senior Director, US from July 2022 to November 2022, Director, US Programs from January 2021 to July 2022, and Director, Silicon Valley Programs from February 2020 to January 2021. German Accelerator is focused on empowering German startups to scale globally.

Keshia also served as a Startup Mentor at Recycle Up! Ghana from March 2021 to December 2021.

Keshia has contributed as an author to the Corporate Innovation Best Practices Book by Springer in 2022. Their chapter discusses best practices and lessons learned from their experience leading enterprise business development and managing a Silicon Valley accelerator.

Earlier in their career, Keshia worked at GSVlabs as a Director of Strategic Partnerships from February 2019 to February 2020 and as an Enterprise Innovation Manager from January 2019 to March 2019. GSVlabs is a global innovation hub connecting startups and corporations.

Lastly, they have experience as an AmeriCorps Program Coordinator at Playworks from August 2016 to June 2017.

Keshia Theobald-van Gent's education history includes a Master's Degree in Conflict, Religion, and Globalization from the University of Groningen. Keshia also completed the University of Groningen Honours College, earning an Honours Masters. In 2022, they attended the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, where they completed an Executive Course on Architecting a Startup Investment Portfolio. Keshia holds a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Studies from Northern Kentucky University. Keshia has also pursued additional education through online platforms, including completing a Conflict Resolution Skills program from the University of California, Irvine through Coursera, and earning a TEFL Certificate from the TEFL Institute. Keshia has also taken courses on Conflict Management, Time Management, Creative Problem Solving, and Business Strategy from various universities and platforms. In 2022, Keshia attended Stanford University, where they completed courses on Leadership in the New World and Exit Strategies: Maximizing the value of Your Company.
