Álvaro Barrientos Castañeda

Álvaro Barrientos Castañeda has worked in a variety of roles since 2010. Álvaro began their career as a Doctoral Student at Universidad de León in 2010. In 2014, they took on the role of Fermentation Technician at Abengoa. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Junior Research Scientist at Neol Biosolutions S.A., where they were responsible for scale-up and optimization of different fermentative processes and upstream and downstream operations development. In 2018, they joined ADL BioPharma as a Fermentation Technician, where they were responsible for fermentation technology transfer from pilot to industrial scale and writing, supervising and signing of production documentation. In 2021, they began working as a Project Development Manager at BDI biotech.

Álvaro Barrientos Castañeda obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Molecular Biology from Universidad de León in an unspecified year. Álvaro also obtained a Master Degree in Investigation in Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology from Universidad de León in 2009-2010.
