Process Engineer, AAV at Be Bio

Ben Brock has had a diverse work experience. Ben began their career in 2015 as an Intern at MWI Animal Health, where they monitored the daily delivery and pick-up of freight upwards of $500,000.00 and assisted in planning the inbound and outbound logistics of shipments from multiple warehouses. In 2016, they joined the University of Maryland College Park as a Laboratory Technician at their BioProcess Scale Up Facility, where they earned the Student Employee of the Semester award for the Fall 2016 semester. Their duties included growing bacteria and yeast from the lab shake-flask scale up to 250 liters, as well as participating in the fermentor preparation, sterilization, inoculation, process monitoring, and harvest in a professional laboratory setting. Ben also served as a Teaching Assistant. In 2018, they joined Catalent Pharma Solutions as a Process Engineer. Currently, they are a Process Engineer, AAV at Be Biopharma, a position they have held since 2022.

Ben Brock graduated from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Ben began their studies in 2014.
