Mark Taylor Murphy

Mark Taylor Murphy has extensive work experience in the banking industry, spanning several roles and positions. Mark Taylor started their career in 1999 as the VP of Information Technology at Bank of Granite, where they worked until 2011. Mark Taylor then joined First National Bank of Shelby NC as the VP and Director of Information Systems from 2011 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, Mark worked at BNC Bank as the Vice President and Systems Analyst. Mark Taylor then moved to Select Bank & Trust Company, where they held multiple positions including VP of Operations Business Analyst from 2017 to 2020 and SVP of Director of Digital & Conversion Services from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, Mark joined Union Bank as the Operations Project Manager until 2022. Currently, they are employed as the SVP and Data Analytics Manager at Beacon Community Bank. Prior to their banking career, Mark had experience in the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller and also served in the United States Air Force Security Forces as a Captain.

Mark Taylor Murphy attended the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1981 to 1984, where they studied Computer Science and Mathematics. In addition, they obtained the certifications of "FoxTrot Certified Expert" from EnableSoft, Inc. in 2019, and "Product Certified - Synergy Administrator" from Jack Henry & Associates in 2009.
