Lissette Fernandez has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Roosevelt University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Oakton College, attending from 1998 to 2001. Additionally, Lissette obtained an Early Childhood Certification from Northeastern Illinois University, specializing in the College of Health and Human Sciences, from 1993 to 1996. Lissette has also acquired a certification in Syntrio US Workplace Harassment and Discrimination from Syntrio, part of Mitratech, in January 2024.
