Principal Engineer at Beam

Julian Keenaghan has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Julian started their career at 192.com as a Web Applications Developer in 2006. Julian then worked at IG Index as a Javascript Developer before joining Evently as a Senior Software Developer. At Evently, they were part of the founding technical team and contributed to the app's growth to over £1 million in annual revenue.

In 2014, Keenaghan joined MiniManager as the CTO, where they led engineering and product development for a card-based fantasy football game. Julian also worked as the Technical Director and later as the CTO at Citysocializer, a social discovery network and community.

In 2016, Keenaghan took on the role of Freelance Consultant at their own company, Keenaghan Ltd. Julian also served as the Head of Engineering at Cleo AI and later as the Director of Engineering at Beam, the world's first crowdfunding platform for homeless individuals. At Beam, they initially worked as the sole developer and later led a team of engineers, managing the technical direction and architecture of the company.

Throughout their career, Keenaghan has demonstrated their expertise in managing product and engineering teams, leading technical direction, and successfully launching and scaling various tech products and platforms.

Julian Keenaghan completed their High School education at Cistercian College Roscrea from 1994 to 1999. Julian then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Mathematical Physics at University College Dublin from 1999 to 2004. Later, Julian obtained a Master's Degree in Machine Learning from The University of Edinburgh in 2005-2006.
