Ivan Grudinin is an accomplished Integrated Photonics Test Architect at OpenLight, with extensive experience in optical and photonics engineering. As the founder and R&D engineer at Beamlet, Ivan developed an innovative FMCW lidar laser chirp linearization method and designed a 4-channel coherent transceiver. Previous roles include Senior Engineering Manager at Rockley Photonics, where Ivan automated photonics wafer-level testing, and Optical Pointing Engineer at Transpacific Technologies, where consulting involved opto-electronics for a significant aerospace project. Ivan also contributed to the development of FMCW lidar technology at Cruise and has a strong research background from positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Caltech, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Ivan holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Caltech, as well as various degrees and certificates in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science from institutions such as Udacity and IBM, demonstrating a commitment to continued education and innovation in the field.
