Jason Foote

Jason Foote has a strong background in software engineering and development. Jason is currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Bear Flag Robotics since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Lyft as an SWE from August 2020 to May 2021.

Jason also has extensive experience at OfferUp, where they worked as an SRE Manager from September 2013 to November 2019. During their time at OfferUp, they played a pivotal role in scaling the backend infrastructure and breaking down a monolithic web application into microservices. Jason was also the point of contact for production issues.

Before OfferUp, Jason worked at DomainTools as a Senior Engineer from May 2011 to August 2013. In this role, they led multiple projects and successfully migrated source control from Subversion to Git. Jason introduced new tools to enhance development efficiency.

Prior to DomainTools, Jason worked at LexisNexis as a Software Developer, where they developed the backend of Lexis Nexis's Profile Suite and collaborated with a lead Technical Architect to solve complex problems. Jason's career began at Provoke Solutions as a Software Developer, where they created bespoke web applications using SQL Server, C#, XML with XSLT, and JavaScript. Jason also worked as a support developer, maintaining and updating web applications previously developed by Provoke.
