David Shin

David Shin has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as a Senior Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller at Bear Robotics, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Accounting Manager at UNIQLO from 2021 to 2022.

From 2017 to 2021, David worked at Starbucks in various accounting roles. David started as an Accounting Analysis Manager at Starbucks Coffee Trading Company (SCTC), where they supported cross-functional teams and prepared inventory turn analyses. David then moved to the Global Consolidations team, where they oversaw intercompany activities and provided training on the consolidation system. David later became a Senior Accountant, responsible for intercompany elimination and supporting business acquisition transactions.

Before joining Starbucks, David was a Senior Accounting Analyst at PACCAR from 2016 to 2017, where they were part of the corporate accounting consolidation team. David prepared the financial statements and board meeting presentations.

David's previous experience includes working as a Controller at Paul Gauguin Cruises from 2012 to 2016, overseeing month-end closes, financial statements, and audits. David also worked as an Accountant at Pacific International Bank from 2009 to 2011, responsible for cash reporting and month-end entries. Prior to that, they were a Partnership Accountant at Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors from 2007 to 2009, handling financial reports and audits for investment partners.

David began their career as a Soldier in the Republic of Korea Army from 2001 to 2003.

David Shin has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business, which was obtained from 2005 to 2008. Before that, they attended Highline Community College from 2003 to 2005 and earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In 1999 to 2000, David studied Economics at Kyung Hee University. Additionally, they obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the Washington State Board of Accountancy in January 2016.
