Shelly Vitanza

Shelly Vitanza is an experienced professional in community and government affairs, currently serving as the Community & Government Affairs Manager at BASF since May 2021. Vitanza oversees communications activities, including media relations and marketing efforts to promote the organization. In addition to this role, Vitanza has worked as a freelance talent for on-air commercials since 2019 and has held the position of Specialty Publications Manager at The Beaumont Enterprise since May 2015, coordinating and publishing lifestyle and event-oriented magazines. Previous experience includes serving as the Director of Public Affairs at Lamar University and the Executive Vice President of Marketing at SoutheastTexas.com, as well as owning and operating SETXsocialcenter.com, an online event calendar and magazine. Vitanza holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Texas A&M University, earned between 1986 and 1990.
