Katherine Watkins

Katherine Watkins has over 23 years of experience as an educator. Katherine currently serves as the Chairperson at the Oregon Education Association since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Beaverton School District for 17 years, starting as a Language Arts Teacher in August 2004 and later transitioning to roles such as Humanities Teacher (6 & 8) and High School English Teacher. Before joining the Beaverton School District, Katherine was a High School English Teacher at the Scappoose School School from September 2001 to June 2004. Katherine began their teaching career at the Yuma Union High School District, where they worked as a High School English Teacher from September 1998 to June 2001.

Katherine Watkins pursued their education history in a chronological order, and their highest level of education is a Master's degree. From 2017 to 2019, they attended Southern New Hampshire University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Creative Writing.
