Nicholas Bruns

Nicholas Bruns has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicholas started their career in 2007 as a Web Developer Consultant at Widestream Solutions, where they built intranet applications for nursing homes. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Developer at Sandbox Industries, focusing on testing and advancing new business concepts. Nicholas also worked as a Software Engineer at CakeStyle during this time, developing a custom Ruby on Rails application for inventory management. In 2012, they took a break from their career to travel and explore Southeast Asia as a backpacker. After their travels, they worked as a Yoga Instructor at Tantra Power Yoga and as a Whitewater Rafting Guide at Salmon Raft. In 2013, they joined Catholic Social Services of Columbus and Vrable Healthcare as a Software Engineer / Project Manager, where they designed and built custom software tools to aid in operations and improve efficiency. Nicholas currently works at Beaverton School District as a Math Teacher, where they provide engaging math lessons and serves as a faculty advisor and member of various teams.

Nicholas Bruns attended Fenwick High School from 1997 to 2001 and obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they went on to study Mathematics and Computer Science at Valparaiso University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree from 2001 to 2006.
