Raf Sanchez

Raf Sanchez has an extensive work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Raf currently holds the position of Global Head of Cyber Services at Beazley, a role they started in January 2022. Before that, they worked at Beazley as an International Breach Response Manager from September 2016 to December 2021. Prior to their time at Beazley, Raf served as an Assistant General Counsel & Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from April 2014 to August 2016. Raf also worked as a Consultant at Jardine Matheson from September 2009 to September 2013. Raf has experience with Morgan Stanley, where they held the positions of Vice President from October 2004 to February 2009 and Attorney from April 2002 to October 2004. Raf began their career as a Solicitor at Blake Morgan LLP in September 2000 and later became a Trainee Solicitor before leaving in May 2002. Raf also briefly worked as an Attorney at Kennedy Van der Laan from September 2001 to December 2001. In addition, Raf has worked for the Turks and Caicos Islands Government as an Attorney in the Office of the Attorney General from March 1999 to September 1999. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as an Intern at AT&T from October 1997 to August 1998 and at EBRD in the Office of the General Counsel from August 1994 to September 1994.

Raf Sanchez obtained a BA degree in History from the University of Durham, St John's College, from 1992 to 1995. Raf then pursued a diploma in Computer Science at the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained a diploma in Law from The University of Law from 1995 to 1997. Prior to their higher education, Raf attended St. Benedict's School in London from 1978 to 1992. Raf has also obtained certifications including Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/Europe) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2019 and is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales, regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
