Lee Phanco has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the public sector. Lee began their career in 1988 at Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, where they held various roles until 1998. Lee then worked at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council as a Revenues Support Services Manager from 1998 to 2001. Lee joined WIGAN METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL as a Principal Revenues Officer from 2001 to 2002, before moving on to London Borough of Barking and Dagenham as an Income and Collections Business Unit Manager from 2002 to 2005. Lee then became the Head of Revenues at South Cambridgeshire District Council from 2005 to 2009. Lee's most recent role was at Bedford Borough Council, where they started as the Assistant Chief Finance Officer in 2009 and later became the Chief Officer for Assessment, Application and Business Support in 2018.
Lee Phanco attended the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Finance and Leadership. During the same period, they also earned a CIPFA - Public Finance Accountant degree from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, Lee Phanco studied at Preston College, where they pursued a degree in Revenues, Rating and Valuation from the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation.
