Nikesh Mistry

Nikesh Mistry is an experienced educator and coordinator in physical activity and sports, currently working as a Primary Teacher at Bedford Borough Council since September 2018. Nikesh's prior experience includes serving as a Trainee Teacher at the University of Bedfordshire from September 2017 to September 2018, and as the School PE, Physical Activity & Sport Manager at SSG Services from March 2008 to August 2017. In this role, Nikesh coordinated physical activity provisions across schools in Bedford, Luton, and Milton Keynes, ensuring high-quality PE delivery in accordance with the National Curriculum. Nikesh also held positions as Programme Coordinator and Schools PE & Activities Coordinator at SSG Services, and as a Coordinator at Sport Support Services, where responsibilities included delivering year-round projects and sports activities for various age groups. Earlier work experience includes serving as a Crew Trainer at McDonald's Corporation. Nikesh holds a PGCE Primary (with QTS) from the University of Bedfordshire (2017-2018) and a BSc in Sports Studies, focusing on the relationship between perfectionism and athlete burnout, obtained from the same university (2006-2009).
