Ximena María López Zieher

Senior Applied Research Associate at Beeflow

Ximena María López Zieher has worked in a variety of roles in the agricultural and research fields since 2011. Ximena María began their career as an Ayudante de primera and Ayudante de segunda en Ecología at the Facultad de Agronomía - Universidad de Buenos Aires. Ximena María then worked as a Tesista de grado, completing a thesis for the Agronomy degree entitled "Caracterización de la comunidad bacteriana en relictos de pastizal natural y lotes post agrícolas de la Pampa Interior mediante pirosecuenciación", directed by Dr. Laura Yahdjian and Dr. Lucía Vivanco. Ximena María also worked as an Asesor de cultivo de zarzamora y nuez pecan at a private camp and as a Coordinadora de proyecto Forestacion at VidaSolidariaArgentina. In 2015, they began working as a Becaria doctoral at CONICET. In 2017, they took on the role of Organización del Proyecto ConCiencia del Sur para divulgar Ciencia, which aimed to spread scientific lines of research at FAUBA, raise awareness of the importance of science in society, and emphasize the strong relationship between education and science. In 2018, they were awarded a Fulbright-Ministerio de Educación Becaria for research in the United States on the project "Multifuncionalidad en pastizales pastoreados" under the direction of Dr. Sasha Reed. Ximena María is currently working as a Senior Applied Research Associate at Beeflow. Ximena María has also been a Colaboradora at Revista Chacra since 2011.

Ximena María López Zieher obtained their Ingeniera Agrónoma degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2014, followed by a Doctorado en Ciencias Agropecuarias from Escuela para Graduados Alberto Soriano in 2021. Her field of study for both degrees was Ciencias Agropecuarias.
