Andrea Piras

Andrea Piras has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Fellow at GULCh - Gruppo Utenti Linux Cagliari. In 2013, Piras co-founded Paraimpu and served as CEO until December 2020. During this time, they also held positions such as a Technical and Scientific Reviewer for Open Access Journals at MDPI starting in 2014. From 2018 to 2020, Piras worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Vivocha. In 2020, they joined idPostBox as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead until March 2021.

In 2021, Piras joined Funnel S.r.l. as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, where they worked until April 2023. Piras also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at BEE Content Design starting in 2022. Andrea also held the role of Senior Software Engineering at Growens Cagliari Innovation Lab from September 2022.

Additionally, Piras has participated in various professional associations and organizations. Andrea was an inaugural member of the International Engineering and Technology Institute since 2015. In 2022, Piras worked as a Proposal Evaluator for the European Commission from October to November.

Through their work experience, Piras has demonstrated their expertise in software engineering and leadership roles. Andrea has contributed to various projects, evaluated proposals, and co-founded a company.

Andrea Piras has a strong educational background in computer science. Andrea started their education at Istituto Tecnico Industriale "Othoca" - Oristano, where they studied computer science from 1990 to 1995. After that, they attended Università degli Studi di Cagliari and obtained a Universitary Diploma in Computer Science from 1995 to 1999. Continuing their studies at the same university, they completed a Degree in Computer Science from 2001 to 2002. Seeking further specialization, Andrea pursued a Post-graduate degree in Computer Science Technologies at Università degli Studi di Cagliari from 2004 to 2006. In 2008, they had an internship opportunity at Université de Sherbrooke, where they focused on cognitive deficits and computer science. Through their education, Andrea acquired a diverse range of knowledge and expertise in the field of computer science.
