Jim Whalen

Jim Whalen started their career in 1986 as a summer intern at GE Aviation. Jim then became a Graphic Design Artist and later worked as a Senior Art Director, overseeing the design of marketing collateral for various sectors. In 1994, they joined SCHAWK USA INC as a Design Director, where they handled print design projects for regional clients. From 1995 to 2001, they served as a Marketing Services Manager at Formica Group North America.

Jim joined GE Aviation again in 2001, initially as a Marketing Communications Manager, before progressing to Marketing Manager and eventually Marketing Director, responsible for branding, promotion, and environmental strategies. Jim held this role until 2018 when they took on the position of Marketing Director, Branding and Creative Strategy at GE Aviation.

In 2021, Jim founded their own consulting firm and served as President and Owner until 2023. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Beehive Industries.

Jim Whalen attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati from 1982 to 1986, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Communication Design.
