Elena Chan (GAICD)

Elena Chan (GAICD) is an experienced executive with a wealth of knowledge in the financial services industry. Elena has held a variety of roles across a number of organizations, starting in 2004 with their role as Senior Consultant at PwC. In 2006, Elena moved to Gates & Partners Solicitors as an Associate, before joining Simmons & Simmons as a Supervising Associate, Financial Services. In 2010, they were a Lawyer at Morgan Stanley, before joining Henry Davis York as a Senior Associate, Financial Markets & Derivatives in 2011. In 2015, Elena became a Director & Treasurer at Jannawi Connections and in 2012, they began their roles at Westpac, first as Head of Group Transformation Office, then Head of Transformation and Integration, Data Platforms, followed by Head of Executive Office and Business Control, Group Data and Group Strategy. In 2021, Elena joined Beforepay as Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel.

Elena Chan (GAICD) completed the Graduate of the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2018. Elena also holds a Bachelor's Degree in B Com/LLB from UNSW.
