Head Of Insolvency Technical And Compliance at Begbies Traynor

Christine Kerr has extensive work experience in the field of insolvency and compliance. Christine is currently serving as the Head of Insolvency Technical and Compliance at Begbies Traynor Group since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at CVR Global LLP from 2012 to 2021, where they held the position of Technical and Compliance Director. In this role, they were responsible for technical, compliance, and training nationally, as well as risk management, AML, and data protection. Christine also played a key role in the rebranding of CVR Global LLP. Before joining CVR Global LLP, Christine worked at PKF (UK) LLP as the Insolvency Compliance Director from 2004 to 2012. Christine also served as a Reviewer at the Joint Insolvency Monitoring Unit (JIMU) from 2001 to 2004. Prior to these roles, they held managerial positions at PKF (UK) LLP from 1993 to 2001 and worked as a Supervisor at Lloyds TSB from 1986 to 1993.

Christine Kerr pursued their education in a variety of fields and institutions. In 2013, they obtained a diploma in compliance from the International Compliance Association. Christine then went on to enroll at Nottingham Trent University, where they completed a post-graduate diploma in International Insolvency Law. Afterwards, they attended The University of Law, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB). To enhance their expertise in insolvency, they took the Insolvency Practitioner Examinations (JIEB) at BPP University. In 2017, Christine completed a Data Protection Practitioner course at PDP Group, specializing in data protection. Continuing their education in the field of insolvency, they pursued a Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) at BPP University. Additionally, they studied English and French at The Open University. Christine's education journey concluded in 2019 with the achievement of a second diploma in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) from the International Compliance Association.
