Richard Kenworthy

Richard Kenworthy has over 20 years of work experience in the field of insolvency and accounting. Richard started their career in 1996 as an Accounts junior at Lee & Company Chartered Accountants, where they also served as a senior and Insolvency Administrator. At Lee & Company, Richard was responsible for Accounts Preparation, audits of solicitors accounts rules and pension schemes, as well as case administration for a mixed portfolio of insolvency cases.

In 2004, Richard joined Sargent & Co as an Insolvency Administrator before moving on to the role of Chartered Certified Accountant & Senior Manager at Begbies Traynor Group in 2005. At Begbies Traynor, Richard managed a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal insolvency cases and provided advice and assistance to financially distressed businesses. This included handling administrations, liquidations, voluntary arrangements, bankruptcies, and LPA receiverships.

In 2013, Richard became an Insolvency Director at Begbies Traynor, offering advice to financially distressed individuals, business owners, and creditors. Richard aimed to provide straightforward and honest advice tailored to each situation, with a focus on saving businesses and jobs.

Currently, Richard continues to work as an Insolvency Director at Begbies Traynor, based at offices in Huddersfield and Leeds. Richard is a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and acts as an Administrator, Supervisor, and liquidator in various insolvency procedures, mainly in the North of England. Richard also investigates matters related to companies wound up by the court.
